Pretty Long Nails

Your fingernails can tell a lot about your health. Healthy nails are generally strong and pink in color while those that are unhealthy are brittle, dull and appear yellowish or grayish.

TIPS FOR HEALTHY NAILS

Give your nails a regular trimming: Do this after a bath as that is the time when your nails are soft and gentle which makes it easy to chip them. Use a good filer and regularly file your nails to avoid breakage.

Keep it dry: Try keeping your hands dry and clean as much as possible. Putting your hands in water too many times, increases the chances of breakage and also makes the nails brittle.

Moisturize your hands frequently: Apply a good moisturizer to make your nails strong and healthy. Applying olive oil or baby lotion may also help.

Protect your nails: Avoid using nail paints/polishes: Nail colors have certain chemicals in them which turn the nails yellow and make them look lifeless. Unless you have a party or an occasion, keep your nails free of any nail colors or nail art.

Keep your filer up to yourself: Never share your nail filer with anybody. It contains germs and bacteria which give rise to an infection. Keep your filer clean and try replacing it after every two months.

Massage your nails: Although this may sound silly but pampering will only make your nails healthier day by day.

Drink milk: Have a glass of milk with breakfast and before going to bed. Milk will not just make your nails and bones strong but also give you smooth and moisturized hair.
