If you want your hair to grow, the first thing that you need to do is get rid of chemical products. Also, you will have to give up on that junk food which you enjoy the most. Your diet has a lot to do with your skin and hair. Moreover, you need to be healthy to have a glowing skin and luscious long hair.
STAY STRESS-FREE
Not many pay attention to this, but stress is a major cause which results into hair fall. Try to keep yourself stress-free and calm. Practice few minutes of meditation every day. This will not just keep you away from stress but also ensure proper blood flow. Smooth blood circulation nourishes all the body cells including the scalp, thereby promoting hair growth.
SAY NO TO JUNK
Oily, sugary foods are no doubt good for the tongue but not for your health. Keeping your internal system clean is very essential, because, at the end of the day, that is what reflects on the outside. Vitamin B-complex is a lot more essential for good hair than any other vitamins or minerals. Still, your body needs to have a balanced intake of protein, zinc, magnesium, iron, selenium, copper and vitamins A, B, C and E.
Foods to include in your diet: milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, fish, chicken, whole grains, leafy veggies like spinach and cabbage. Drink fresh fruit and vegetable juices to keep yourself hydrated. This will result in a well-nourished scalp and skin.
Increase the intake of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
AVOID EXPOSURE TO HEAT AND SUN
Let your hair dry naturally. Make minimal usage of hair dryers and straightening iron. The heat in them takes away the moisture from the scalp and hair, thereby making it dry. Dryness gives rise to frizzy hair and itchy scalp, which further causes dandruff.
When traveling under the sun, use a stroll or dupatta to cover your head. UV rays damage the texture and color of the hair.
HAIR WASH
The day you wash your hair is certainly a good day but doing it too often may rip off all the essential oils from your scalp. This can be avoided by taking a hair wash every alternate day or twice a week. Also, how often to wash your hair hugely depends on your hair type.
If you have oily hair, cleansing will be required every now and then. Similarly, if your scalp is dry you will have to wash your hair accordingly to prevent it from getting dryer.
