Pineapple The King:
Pineapple goes very well with fruit cakes and breads but have you ever tried adding it to suji/sheera? If not, here’s a recipe for the same which is healthy and tasty all at the same time.
Ingredients
- Pineapple Peeled and Chopped 1 Medium Size
- Semolina/Rawa/Suji 1 Cup
- Ghee 1 Cup
- Sugar Substitute 1 Cup
- Mixed Dry Fruits (cashew, almond, pistachio, raisins). Roasted and Finely Chopped 1 Small Bowl
- Saffron/Kesar A Pinch
Method
- Add ghee in a non-stick pan. Add semolina and keep stirring till it turns golden brown.
- Then add saffron and pineapple. Cook for more 2-3 minutes.
- Put water and cover the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on a medium flame.
- Add sugar substitute and keep on stirring until all the moisture gets evaporated.
- Lastly, take the sheera in a serving plate and garnish with chopped dry fruits. Serve hot!
